Description

Hydraulic Submersible Pump HWP2

Although small and light, the HWP2 is very efficient and can pump up to 35 m3/h. Its outer diameter is only 23.8 cm, making it ideal for small manholes where space is at a premium.

The pump is unaffected by contaminated water and solids. In the utility and construction industries, high performance pumps are required to ensure there is no downtime on site. The direct drive motor ensures all day everyday operation without damage to the motor or seals should the pump run dry.

HYCON hydraulic submersible pumps are small, powerful and built for tough jobs

For dredging, underwater suction cleaning, etc. HYCON submersible pumps are designed for high demand in the construction industry.

Thanks to the sophisticated impeller design, the pumps are not affected by particles up to 74 mm in size and wear is significantly lower compared to other pumps.

HYCON pumps have compact dimensions, low weight and high performance. They are powered by a built-in hydraulic motor, can run dry and can be operated from compact power units or directly from an excavator, tractor or truck on site.

Other features

? No electrical cables.

? Very high performance in a compact size and weight.

? Few wear parts - less service.

? Direct drive hydraulic motor for long pump life.

? Direct drive from compact power units, tractors, excavators, etc.

? Max displacement 30 m (2") - 20 m (3") - 22 m (4").

? Accepts solids up to O38 - 74 mm depending on pump size.

Considerations Before Selecting a Hydraulic Submersible Pump

There are several things to consider before selecting a hydraulic submersible pump that is right for your application.

Suppose you(or a client) are tasked with a job where you need to cut or drill through a pipe in a small, tight space with limited serviceability. A common task might be sewer rehabilitation or pipe re-drilling. Specifically for these types of jobs, the operator finds himself in a manhole where a sewage pump is needed to get rid of the sewage. It may also be after a floor sanding job where large amounts of slurry are often generated.

You will need an efficient submersible pump that has the ability to redirect slurry and wastewater, as well as being able to handle solids such as rocks to keep the jobsite clean. This can become a problem if the strainer inside the pump is not wide enough to transport the stones. In this case, complications will arise, or worse, the pump will stop working because solid particles are trapped inside.

The strainer in Hycon sump pumps is designed to handle solids that range from o38-74, so you will need to consider the size of the solids in the area where you intend to use it before selecting a pump. If you're already aware of the size of the solids in your area, it should be easy to find a pump that will suit your needs.

In addition, you should also consider the amount of water you expect to transport - our submersible pumps are capable of transporting from 35 m3/h to 120,000 m3/h pr. per hour, which is more than enough for most applications.

Another great feature that is exclusive to hydraulic sewage pumps is the ability to automatically shut down when there is no water to divert. This is usually a much appreciated feature when working in the city, near the highway, or when running many tools at the same time. You simply don't have to watch the pump or worry about shutting it off. It is also referred to as watering. A hydraulic sewage pump like the Hycon pump does NOT require manual priming.
