MASTERLINE 7000A-2 oxygen booster

Our oxygen booster is model 7000A-2. Features include: 260 bar maximum outlet pressure, 10:1 boost ratio, safety relief valve, s/s pressure switch, magnetic starter, inlet shutoff valve, motor hour meter, 10 micron bronze inlet filter, bypass valve, gasket replacement tool and service manual/workshop manual. All fittings and tubing are 316 s/s material.

The 10:1 pressure boost ratio allows you to empty the oxygen cylinders to the remaining 26 bar while still being able to boost the pressure to 260 bar. Our boosters will pump up to 13-15 bar and still get to 260 bar (you sacrifice flow when doing this, thus pumping longer). This is advantageous when filling with helium, but maybe not just for oxygen

A safety valve prevents the bottles from over-pressurising. The pressure switch automatically shuts off the booster at the desired pressure. Magnetic starter allows automatic shutdown. Bypass valve is in place to allow you to equalize your fill bottle with the stock bottle before turning on the booster compressor. This allows for faster filling and also less wear and tear on the booster compressor. Not to mention reducing the heat caused by compression.

Our boosters have a rather unique design. They have no rings. We only use 1 low friction dry seal on each piston (there are 2 pistons). Because of this design, we do not generate the heat that pistons with rings generate. In fact, by the time the gas reaches the outlet valve, it is almost at ambient temperature. The same certainly cannot be said for an air driven unit. Lower temperatures are of course much safer.

Maintenance of our boosters is very simple. It can be done by anyone (trained in the proper handling of oxygen equipment) with only a few tools. It takes about 20 minutes to change the seal. The seals will be the fastest wearing part of the unit. When used properly, they will last at least 200 hours (you must bleed the booster down line pressure or the seals will wear out even if the booster is not actually running). After 400-600 hours, we recommend replacing the guide plates on the boosters. This can be done at the same time as replacing the seals. To replace the guide plate, simply slide it out of the piston. The price of the gaskets is 1500,- CZK per piece and the price of the guide plates is 4000,- CZK per piece. Very cheap, especially when compared to an air driven unit.

This is a turnkey unit. Just connect the hoses, plug in and pump. It really is that simple. We have been selling these units for over 20 years. We have a great reputation with the military, mining, fire departments, NASA, dive shops/divers and more.

Initial cost is not the only item to consider when choosing a unit that will fit your needs. Please keep in mind the huge amount of air that their units need to operate. Your high pressure compressor (or your breathing air) is expensive and will require maintenance (including filters) along with booster maintenance. These additional costs are often forgotten (or not fully understood) when deciding on a unit. Indeed, our maintenance is as stated above.
