Buddy Phone MK II-BUD-D2 is the best and most technically advanced underwater communicator in the world. The Buddy Phone is a miniature ultrasonic transmitter/receiver that allows communication between two or more divers. Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology ensures completely unparalleled transmission clarity. Special digital filters combined with the latest diving microphone essentially eliminate unwanted noise and disturbance. Using the combined Aquacom transmitter and receiver, communication between the diver and the person on the surface is also possible.

The Buddy Phone uses the "press and talk" method, which has proven to be the most reliable method to activate the transmitter. The biggest advantage of this method over a voice activated system (VOX) is the elimination of the delay between transmission and reception that can lead to loss of communication.

The Buddy Phone is worn on the right ear and attached to the mask strap. The diver hears through an integrated earpiece that is built into the back of the Buddy Phone. Innovative digital splash suppression technology differentiates between noise and voice to activate sound reception - so the system works reliably regardless of the level of ambient noise. This advanced technology is especially appreciated by divers communicating near coral reefs.

All Buddy Phone devices receive communications from Buddy Phone transmitters that operate on the same band and frequency. The Buddy Phone SP-100D allows communication between divers and anyone on the surface.
