Whites Drywear GLACIER 3 Undergarment – an extremely warm base layer

Whites Drywear GLACIER 3 Undergarment is a high-performance thermal undergarment designed for diving in cold to arctic waters. It offers extreme thermal protection thanks to a combination of a double layer of warm fleece in the torso area and effective 3M Thinsulate™ insulation.

The GLACIER 3 is designed for use under a drysuit. It can be worn on its own in water temperatures of approximately above 15 °C, but for maximum thermal performance, it can be combined with the GLACIER 1 Undergarment. The layering system provides additional thermal protection even in the most demanding conditions.

Extreme Thermal Insulation

The outer layer consists of water-resistant and breathable 210D nylon softshell. The torso area features a double layer of soft polyester fleece with a total weight of up to 800 g/m2. Additional thermal insulation is provided by 3M Thinsulate™, which is used throughout the entire undergarment.

This construction creates a highly effective insulating layer between the body and the drysuit and is suitable for long dives in cold conditions.

Practical design for diving

The GLACIER 3 is equipped with water-resistant YKK zippers. The two-way zipper in the torso area features a protective flap to prevent water ingress and makes it easier to put on and access the suit.

For practical use, there is also a two-way rear zipper with an internal protective flap. The elastic thumb loops can be tucked away if necessary so they don’t get in the way during use.

Adjustable straps under the feet keep the undersuit in place when putting on a drysuit.

Pockets for practical use

The undersuit features a large vertical zippered chest pocket with a protective flap and two large fleece-lined pockets. These serve not only to store small items but also as cozy pockets for warming your hands.
