Fourth Element HALO A°R – A diving undersuit featuring technology derived from space research

HALO A°R represents a new generation of diving undersuits that takes thermal protection to a whole new level. It utilizes advanced A°RGON™ Aerogel technology, originally developed for the space industry and cryogenic applications, providing exceptional thermal comfort with minimal bulk and low positive buoyancy.

A°RGON™ Aerogel technology

A°RGON™ is a special form of aerogel, one of the best thermal insulators ever created. It was developed for use in spacecraft and at extremely low temperatures in cryogenics. Fourth Element has adapted it into a flexible, compression-resistant foam that retains its insulating properties even under the demanding conditions of technical diving.

Thanks to this technology, HALO A°R provides exceptional thermal protection with significantly less material thickness than traditional undersuits. The result is greater comfort, less restriction of movement, and a reduced need for added weight.

Body mapping and optimization for diving

Based on Fourth Element’s many years of experience in thermal protection and anatomical fit, the HALO A°R was developed using thermal imaging testing and body mapping technology. The A°RGON™ insulation material is strategically placed in areas where heat loss is greatest.

The A°RGON™ layer protects the entire body from the shoulders down to the knees, while other critical areas benefit from additional insulation without increasing bulk or restricting mobility.

The offset front zipper and special chamber design minimize heat loss, especially in the horizontal body position (trim), which is typical for technical diving.

Ready for use with a P-valve

The HALO A°R offers two options for routing the P-valve. The hose can be routed either through the front flap or through a special opening in the left or right pocket. Pre-sewn points are provided at the waist, which can be easily opened according to the diver’s individual needs.

This practical solution is complemented by a second zipper in the pocket, which significantly facilitates access and connection of the P-valve without the need for awkward twisting of the hose.

All-day comfort

The outer layer of the undersuit is waterproof, windproof, and elastic, allowing for a comfortable, snug fit all day long. The suit also features comfortable thumb loops and foot straps that make it easier to put on a drysuit and keep the undersuit in place.

Practical zippered pockets allow for the secure storage of keys, credit cards, cash, and other small valuables.
