Maximum comfort is ensured by an anatomical cut, sophisticated Pre-Forming, ultra-flexible Elaskin neoprene, Flex System 2, and Free Flex Zone. Thermal comfort is provided by the warm Fireskin lining and the patented Water Dam system, which limits unwanted water circulation inside the wetsuit.

The suit is also equipped with durable reinforcements and protectors that safeguard both the diver and the neoprene itself. The knees are protected by Supratex 2, while the shoulders, legs, and seat area feature durable Black Shield panels.

Beuchat – a pioneer in neoprene diving suits

Beuchat is among the pioneers of underwater activities. The company’s founder, Georges Beuchat, naturally sought a way to protect the human body from the cold while diving. Following experiments conducted near Marseille in 1953, he invented the isothermal neoprene wetsuit, which laid the foundation for modern thermal protection for humans in aquatic environments.

This groundbreaking research laid the foundation for the development of diving equipment, the principles of which are still used today. Modern technology and new materials now make it possible to significantly increase comfort, thermal protection, and durability, but the basic principles remain the same.

Maximum comfort thanks to an anatomical cut

One of the most important features of a diving suit is its cut. Beuchat uses its proprietary 3D Pre-Forming technology, which ensures the suit is naturally shaped even before it is sewn.

The individual panels of the construction define the final shape of the suit during production. The Focea Comfort 7 model uses a total of 44 panels and 20 different grades of neoprene to achieve the optimal combination of flexibility, comfort, thermal insulation, and durability.

Flex System 2

Flex System 2 combines the suit’s pre-shaping with special wide shaping in the elbow and knee areas. The result is greater freedom of movement and less strain on the material during movement.

Special neoprene panels support 3D shaping in areas where the suit bends. Pre-shaped stretch panels are used in the underarm, elbow, and knee areas to help eliminate uncomfortable creases.

This provides greater comfort while swimming, kicking with fins, and handling equipment. At the same time, emphasis was placed on the anatomical shaping of the lower back and seat area.

Compared to the previous generation Focea Comfort 4, the Focea Comfort 7 features more than twice the area of material utilizing the Flex System.

Stretch lumbar panel and Free Flex Zone

Highly flexible Elaskin 8.8 neoprene is used in the lumbar region and around the rear zipper. Together with Free Flex Zone technology, it provides exceptional freedom of movement, even when preparing your diving gear.

The stretch panel runs the entire length of the spine along the back zipper. Thanks to this, the suit naturally adapts to the body’s movements and does not restrict you even when bending forward or preparing your gear while kneeling.

Fireskin – warm inner lining

Fireskin is a very warm and water-repellent fabric with a specially structured weave. It provides a high level of thermal protection while remaining comfortable against the skin.

The lining helps maintain thermal comfort during the dive and contributes to the overall comfort of the suit.

Supratex 2 and Black Shield – Protection for the Wetsuit and the Diver

Supratex 2 protects the knees from abrasion and bruising when kneeling or coming into contact with hard surfaces. At the same time, it protects the neoprene itself and helps extend the suit’s lifespan.

The Supratex 2 material is 10% more flexible than the first-generation Supratex, while maintaining the same level of durability.

The seat area is reinforced with sturdier neoprene for greater comfort when sitting. The shoulders, legs, and seat area are also equipped with Black Shield protective panels, which increase abrasion resistance.

Perfect Seal

The smooth inner neck collar ensures an effective seal at the top of the suit. You can adjust the tightness to your desired level using Velcro. The Velcro design is engineered so that it does not stick directly to the suit’s surface and does not damage the neoprene.

To relieve tension around the neck, you can use the short front zipper, which allows for a more comfortable neck adjustment even with a maximum seal.

The double cuffs on the wrists and legs feature zippers with double-sided seals, a lining, and a smooth outer neoprene layer.

G-Lock Plus and the patented Water Dam

The suit is equipped with a sufficiently long G-Lock Plus back zipper with a metal slider. It includes the patented Water Dam system, which ensures an effective seal along the back zipper.

Water Dam consists of a grooved seal made of smooth neoprene located along the main back zipper. It helps limit water ingress while providing additional protection for the spine.

Zippers on the Sleeves and Legs

The zippers at the ends of the sleeves and legs make it easier to put on and take off the suit. They also help protect the material and seams from excessive strain.

Each zipper is lined with a neoprene pad that protects the smooth cuff located beneath the zipper when operating the slider.

Practical Dive Computer Mount

The Focea Comfort 6 features Beuchat’s original system for securing a dive computer or dive watch in the correct position.

A neoprene pad with Velcro allows for easy attachment of virtually any dive computer or watch. Simply thread the computer through the holes in the pad and then attach it to the wetsuit sleeve.

This keeps the computer in the same place and minimizes the effect of changes in wrist circumference caused by the neoprene compressing during descent to greater depths.
