BURI™ knife, Gear Aid

The BURI™ knife is designed as a multifunctional knife for camping. It is well balanced and provides great cutting power despite its compact size. It comes with a handy sheath and belt clip. The blade is riveted to the handle part and is made of durable plastic. The titanium-coated 7.6 cm long blade has both a straight and a saw blade.At the end behind the handle is a sturdy tip for breaking tempered glass, a bottle opener and a hole for attaching a lanyard. A quick-release sheath with a removable belt clip easily attaches to backpacks, belts and MOLLE pride systems.

Material is titanium-coated 420 (5Cr15) stainless steel.

The pointed blade has both a straight and a sawtooth edge, a tip for breaking tempered glass, a bottle opener, and an eyelet for attaching a loop.

MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment, a modular system for hanging (attaching) lightweight equipment. The MOLLE designation, as original, applies only to products approved for use by units of the U.S. Army, British Army, and other armed forces of the NATO alliance. This comprehensive gear fixation system utilizes a grid created by PALS weave. PALS is a system where a 25mm wide strap is sewn every 38mm. An alternative may be the Laser Cut system, where the grid is burned into the fabric with a laser beam.
